Flashback Friday

This week is...MY BIRTHDAY!!!
I'll be 22.
I know, right?!
So this week's Flashback Friday features my 2nd birthday!

My WIZARD OF OZ cake!!!
aaah I love it! I still have those cake topper toys!

Other than that not a dang thing is new.
I work work work and Michael, well he
work
work
work
work
work
work
work
works.
I swear.
Totally lame but totally worth it when we get the paychecks right?

OH
Joys of being a homeowner...
Having basement troubles.
Everytime we do a load of laundry,
our laundry room and bathroom floods.
Everytime we take a shower,
our bathroom floods.
Everytime we run the dishwasher,
our laundry room floods.
This happened when we first moved in too so like a year ago.
However, last time, it was fixed.
This time, we can't seem to fix it.
Any advice on how to stop this from happening would be helpful.
Thanks.

So I feel so overwhelmed with wedding planning because I have't started a dang thing.
Our date isn't picked but it will be about June so that's plenty of time.
I realize this but I still feel overwhelmed.
Is this normal?!
I am pretty sure I'll be doing most everything myself.
My mom is making my dress.
(Good news is I do have a pattern picked out and my mind made up on the dress)
I will make my centerpieces with help from my sisters.
My bestie is doing my pics! Jessie! Woot!
Other than that, I have no idea what to do first.
But at the same time, I like feeling overwhelmed.
Even though, I sort of feel like it hasn't hit me yet.
For real.

SO...
Michael got a call today saying our rings were ready for pick up.
I'm STOKED!
I still haven't worn it yet.
So after I get off work 20 MIN LATE!!!
I RUSH over to Wal-Mart because I have to be at job #2 in 1/2 an hour.
Get there.
Line.
My turn.
Only Michael's ring is done!!!
SO UNFAIR!!!
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
The End.

Happy Wednesday!

I just can't help myself.
I got our scanner working so of course, I have been scanning anything and everything!

So this is my show n tell!

This is in our Payson house. I guess I was stunting way back when!
One of our FIRST dates.
It was a day-date to a dance that we ended up not going to.
I'm pretty sure you're going to all get sick of me posting pictures I have scanned so I'll leave it at that for now!

What a FANTASTIC weekend!

This weekend was SUCH a good one! And that doesn't happen with us very often. With me working 3 jobs and him having weekends off, we're lucky if we get to spend time together. This weekend started on Thursday. We got the opportunity to go see Gary Allan in concert. Wow. That is all. It was just. Wow. But let me start from the top...

The opening act was Jarrod Niemann. He is freakin awesome! [To check him out go here.] And to make him even more awesome, we found out his first favorite cowboy is Chris LeDoux. (If you don't know him, at least check out his song "County Fair") Then we found out he wrote a song about his first favorite cowboy with his second favorite cowboy, Garth Brooks. (For those of you that don't know him, just jump off a cliff. Kidding. But Michael is obsessed with him so at least check him out.) Anyways the song he wrote with Garth about Chris is called "Just LeDoux it" (Pronounced la-do) and Michael happened to be wearing his JUST LEDOUX IT t-shirt. I know. Freakin awesome. Then Jarrod sang that song. It was awesome. By the way, all his songs are freakin awesome and most of them really funny! Like one of his songs mentions his favorite drink...a margrdacquriscrewalottaonthebeach. HAHA

Jarrod Niemann
After Jarrod Niemann was Randy Houser. For the best music video you'll ever see go here. The kid in it is for real too. Just FYI. Randy was awesome! He completely rocked the house. And it was cool cuz the show went on even though he was extremely sick and barely had a voice at all. When he talked at least. When he sang it sounded normal which was awesome.

Randy Houser
Finally it was time for Gary Allan. Not much to say about him but that he is awesome. Here's his CMT page. He has been through so much. His wife committed suicide a few years ago and ever since then a lot of his songs have been pretty gloomy. In fact, there is one song on his new album called "No Regrets" that is about his wife. SOOOOOOOO SAD. And we heard him sing it live for the first time ever. I had chills. It was so amazing. Never had chills at a concert like that.

Gary when he first walked out.
Gary rockin the house.
Pretty sure his guitar guy was wearing a kilt...
...Just had to add that I think those rugs are fabulous.
To end the show his pup came and escorted him off stage. Cute!
Me n Michael at the concert
That was the most exciting thing that happened over the weekend. Friday I had a girl's night! Lex, Jenn, Megs, Megera, Kenzie, Sam, Chelle and me! Hopefully next time even more can come!

SATURDAY I worked 2 jobs :( but it wasn't so bad! When I got home from my first job, Michael had the kitchen cleaned and lunch cooking! Such a sweetie!

SUNDAY is FOOTBALL DAY!!! We watch football all day. Started off rough with the Ravens losing but made up for it a bit when the Raiders beath the Rams!!! Woot! We were planning on going to a comedy show that night but it got cancelled :( so we went to a movie instead! Me, Michael, Jesse and Tiff went and saw "The Other Guys" and it was HI-LAR-I-OUS!!! That's right people. 4 syllables!

Me n Michael ready for football!
To top it all off, the weekend aint over yet! Today I spent the day with my mom and sister a.k.a maid of honor looking at dress patterns for my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses. I had a great time and got some great ideas! And tonight Michael and I are going to watch Wrestling! We missed the pay-per-view last night so this will catch us up! Can't wait! Be jealous!

P.S For more pics of the concert check out my facebook page!

Simply trying some new stuff...

Of course all I have on my mind right now is wedding planning...It's probably a ways away cuz I don't mind having a long-ish engagement to have time to plan and save up moolah for stuff. However...

A good friend told me about this site for wedding planning, so far I've spent far too many hours on that site. That's right people, been engaged 4 days and I've already spent HOURS looking at wedding pics. I have an idea of what I want for centerpieces, colors and a dress. However nothing is set in stone yet so I have no deets to share yet..

Just found out that it has always been my mom's dream to make all of us girls' wedding dresses. Hope she knows what she has gotten herself into telling me that. Here's what I want...

My dream dress. Only in white. And with a train. Soooo beautiful! And soooo detailed. Good luck mom!

I also have a cake and some centerpieces in mind but I have a feeling my mind will change on that stuff. But the dress, no chance. I do have back ups however if my mom freaks out about this being too complicated or too detailed. I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with no matter what as long as it's close to what I want and it's made with love by my mom. That's the key...made WITH LOVE. Got that mom? I'll try not to be a bridezilla if you promise to be patient with me when I am one.

Ok that's it for now I just had to blog my thought. And try some new things with this whole blog experience.

~Peach Days 2010~

Peach Days is seriously one of my favorite times!
Michael and I have quite the Peach Days history...
-first time we exchanged numbers
-first time he asked me out (I said no...but that's not important)
-first date
-now we live on Forest aka Peach Days street
-our engagement!!!

The festivities start on Friday and this year I got to babysit my little nephew on Friday! I took him to the booths and the kiddie parade.
To tell you the truth, that's the first time I had ever seen the kiddie parade..
He and I both had a blast!

Saturday the fun began.
We started off the day with the parade.

This is me in the parade. I was a princess for the Peak because they are doing a new class for little girls called Princess Practice.

My little cousins Kiran and Kelan plus Cassidy with the Aggie shirt.

My ADORABLE twin cousins Addie and AJ.

My cute Michael!

My parade experience-
walked about half the parade distance before it started to pass out flyers for the Retreat,
walked in the parade as a princess,
walked back to my family who sits at the beginning of the parade practically,
huge blister,
blood all over in my shoe,
and SORE legs!

After the parade we went to my mom's house for a BBQ. We had a lot of family make the Peach Days trip! Stephanie and Josh plus their kids. My grandma and Aunt Marianne. My Uncle Jim and Aunt Rosie brought their granddaughter Zina. My Aunt Joi Lynn brought Katie and Josh. And Sarah brought Hayden!

I had to skip out a little early on the BBQ because I had a party to host at the Peak. It was such a fun party! I was training a girl named Chelsea and it was a double birthday girl party but they were so cute and so fun! Plus they tipped! BONUS!

After that, I went home and relaxed for a bit on the porch with my sister Jamie. We people watched a bit because this year they closed off the street I live on. (Which I'm COMPLETELY upset with! They've NEVER done that before and it's a pain! We had to park like 6 blocks away from our house!)

Once we were rested Michael, Tony, our nephew, his parents and I went to get somethin to eat and walk around the booths. Michael's nephew also really wanted to ride the Dragon so I took him and it was a blast!!

I think he was a little scared at first but it didn't last long. Pretty soon is was, "WHOOOOA WE ARE GOING SOOOO FAST!! WHOOOOAH WE ARE GOING SOOOO HIGH!!" He would wave to Michael, Tony and grandma n grandpa just laughing! He sure loved it!

Michael's Grandpa got us all matching shirts with our names on them for Peach Days. I wish he was in the picture too but he was home resting after a long day of sitting with his car at the car show. Tony didn't get a shirt because he was in uniform for most the day.

This is us right before we got in line for the ferris wheel. I had no idea this was going to be a ferris wheel ride like no other.

We got in line for the ferris wheel and it's always a long wait but we finally got on. We were one of the last ones to be loaded but when we stopped on our way up Michael turns to me and says,
"I forgot to tell you we're going to have to go to Teague's party late."
Me: "What? Why?!" (I was excited to party!)
Him: "Because we have to go to your parents at 10:00."
Me: "Why would we have to do that?" (I was excited to party!)
Him: "Because I think you're going to want to show them this.."
He pulls out the ring and says "Will you marry me?"
To tell you the truth, I don't even remember anything but saying yes and then giving him a big smooch!
His parents were watching us so he gave them the thumbs up as we came around.

This is our first picture as an engaged couple! My face cracks me up I look craaazy.

His grandma that passed away in March left us this ring. She was tiny so this doesn't even fit my pinky. It will be getting sized this week and should be done by my birthday! Can't wait to wear it! Michael thought the sizing only took a couple days but it ended up being a couple weeks. He wanted to show it to me when he asked but couldn't put it on my finger yet. Can't wait to wear it!

After 4 years of being bf/gf we are FINALLY engaged! To tell you the truth, it hasn't even hit me yet! I've wanted this to happen for so long that it's crazy to me that it has!

The kicker is Michael had told my mom that morning and his mom had known for a couple days. I still had NO IDEA it was coming! I'm proud of my mom for keeping it quiet!
In case you were wondering, when he told her she smacked him and said, "About time!" haha

Michael's friend Mariah happened to see his parents while we were on the ferris wheel and she took some pictures for us. Once we get copies I'll post those too!

I already have so much running through my head! Colors, dates, locations, refreshments, guests...oh my!
I've always wanted a June wedding so that may be when it is but to tell you the truth, I am still trying to come to terms with actually being engaged! Once we decide on a date I'll let you all know OF COURSE!
If you see me lately and I look like I have a goofy perma-grin it's cuz I do! I'm so happy and it couldn't have been more perfect! I had no idea it was coming and it couldn't have gone any better!
