YOUR PARENTS

I'd have to say I got pretty lucky in the parent department.
I know I'm really lucky because I know I have hurt them but yet they still love me and are pretty happy for me with this wedding.

My mom is being great with the wedding planning. She is helping out even more than I thought she would. She is busting her butt making 4 dresses one of them being a wedding dress. I am so grateful for all that she has been willing to do for me. We have had a great time with all of it. For as long as I can remember I have been able to tell my mom anything. I would always come to her with boy questions and advice and she was more than happy to share her advice and experiences. I hope to one day be that way with my daughter.

I think I am a lot like my dad. We are both pretty quiet and shy. We both think of others first before ourselves. When it comes to decision making my dad will always base his decision on what would be best for others without even thinking of himself in the process. He works really hard for his family. Growing up I always remember playing sports with my dad because he never had a son. We would play catch and ping pong, horse and soccer. Sometimes we would play without even speaking because we didn't have to. Each other's company was enough.

I love them both and all that they have done for me. I know it was really hard on them when I moved out and I am so glad that they have found a way to get past it and love me anyways. I am so grateful.

YOUR FIRST LOVE

This one is so easy!
My first love was of course Michael.
When we were in 5th grade I would play basketball with the boys at recess so that I could play with him and he would always pick me for his team even though I probably wasn't any good.
At the end of the 5th grade school year Michael moved away and I cried. Yes I admit it, I cried! I was so sad! I even drew hearts around his yearbook picture.
When he moved back in 8th or 9th grade he was soo mean to me!
He would tease me and he even tripped me in the hall once and I fell flat on my butt and he just walked away!
I know what a jerk right!?
Peach days of like 9th grade year came around and he asked me out. I said no because I had my eye on someone else. I also thought he was joking because he had been so rude to me! But we did exchange numbers and remained friends.
Then comes junior year of high school. I was in the gym practicing stunts for an assembly. I was tossed up and I honestly don't know what exactly happened but I ended up straight on my back on the gym floor. Michael just happened to be in the gym when it happened for a PE class.
After school that day he found me and told me he saw what had happened and wanted to make sure I was ok. I was currently seeing someone else and they didn't even seem to care as much as Michael did.
That was such a cute moment but we didn't really talk too much after that.
Until one summer day the summer before our senior year. I get a text way way late at night and it's him. We started talking and he started using all of those cheesey lines on me.
Such as: "Did it hurt?"
I'll admit I totally fell for it.
He was so sweet and so honest with me and I loved that about him.
He was afraid to tell me he loved country music and had a tattoo.
I started slowly to fall for him.
It wasn't until Peach Days that September that I officially was smitten with him. He asked me to hang out and I had mentioned I loved the ferris wheel so he took me up on it.
After the ferris wheel we went with Nate and Megan to Nate's house to watch a movie. Center Stage.
We held hands that night and ever since then we have been inseperable.
I love Michael with all my heart and although I may have THOUGHT I knew what love was before I met him, I had no idea.
Those other guys don't even come close to the guy Michael is and how he treats me!

Meaning behind my blog name

Well this one is pretty simple...
The day I created my blog I wasn't exactly feeling creative.
So it's just my name!
Boring I know.

Well as you may have seen on facebook I tried on a wedding dress yesterday!
It was actually my mom's!
It was really cool to try it on and have her see me in it.

Now let me tell you a little story.
Do you remember my post about trying to find the perfect dress?
And how the neckline I wanted was crucial?
Well, my mom decided to get her wedding pictures out to show me and it just so happens that she had what I have been looking for!
It was so crazy!
So my mom got the dress from her sisters house (because my aunt wore it first) so that she could try to use it to make a pattern.
So I tried it on!

And the cool thing is...my grandma made this dress!
It is so...vintage.
And gorgeous!
It was so neat to try it on and have it fit me almost perfectly!

Introduce, recent picture of yourself, 15 interesting facts

Here we go people!
Are you ready for my next 30 day challenge?!
I am!
I feel like I haven't blogged lately!

DAY 1

First of all here is my introduction:
My name is Anecia although I look young, I am a whopping 22 years old.
Have you heard my WalMart story yet?!
Well let me just tell you!
So we were in line to get cigarettes at WalMart because Michael's dad asked us to pick some up for him. The couple in front of us also purchased cigarettes. The guy that paid showed his ID...makes sense, but the girl didn't have to show hers. It's our turn and the dumb cashier asks for all of our IDs. I of course don't have mine. So we stood in the long line that has the cigarettes for no reason and had to go somewhere else. If she is going to ask everyone for ID, she should ask EVERYONE!!! Am I right or am I right?! I was so annoyed and I know I am a baby but my feelings get hurt so I wanted to cry! And punch her in the face. She's lucky.
Anyways, back to my introduction...I have 3 yes 3 jobs. I work mainly at ShopKo Eyecare Center as an Optician. I am even certified.
I work once or twice a month at the Peak hosting events such as birthday parties and Kid's Night Out.
I also work with Karen at the Cauliflower Retreat which is a self worth outreach for women. Though I haven't been in over 2 months because she is working on some things that will be coming soon!
I am engaged to my best friend in the whole world! Michael Jensen who I will marry on June 11, 2011. I am seriously the luckiest girl in the world to have him!
There is so much more I could tell you about me but let's not even go there!
Now a recent picture of myself...

This was a few weeks ago at our engagement shoot but it's fairly recent.

Now for the hard part...
15 interesting facts.
Well I wouldn't consider myself interesting so I'll just do 15 random facts.

1- I got a Peak hoodie jacket for Christmas and I wear it CONSTANTLY!
It is sooo comfy!
Here's me in the hoodie
2- I hate sour and cream and I HATE onions but I just love sour cream and onion potato chips although barbecue are my absolute favorite.
3- I don't like blue candy...cept for m&ms. But anything blue fruity like air heads, I'll pass.
4- My favorite song right now is Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, "Don't You Wanna Stay" It was GAC's number 1 Lovin' song on the top 20 Lovin and leavin countdown.
5- I absolutely love American Idol. Watch it every week. It's gettin good cuz Hollywood week started. There is a lot of talent this year in my opinion.
6- I love love love shoes and have quite a few but I seem to always wear the same pair. Tennis shoes. I don't get dressed up as often as I'd like.

9- I try to go to Zumba twice a week at my gym. I love it. It works every inch of your body and I sweat like crazy which is a sign of a good workout.
10- I am SOOOOOOO self-conscious of my arms. I love tank tops but don't like to wear them cuz I hate my arms. I am working on that when I got to the gym.
11- I don't really have a life. I watch way too much TV or Netflix and am on the computer probably too much. I need to get out more.
12- I love summer. It's my favorite. The warmth, the flip flops, sunglasses, swimsuits, shorts, tanks, all of it. I just love summer.
13- I want to cut my hair.

15- Coming up with 15 facts was harder than it needed to be because I overthink things way too much.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY

When I was in the...7th(?) grade,
I was in a singing group called
Cache Children's Choir.
We got the opportunity to tour and compete.
I was lucky enough to go to Canada.
One of the funnest things we did was walk this bridge.
Scary as heck but so fun!
